Chorus Announces Christmas Show

Following a two-year period of absence due to the pandemic, The America the Beautiful Chorus is announcing “Caroling, Caroling”, its annual Christmas show production to be held on Saturday, December 4th with performances at 2 pm and 7 pm. The show will be held at Sunrise United Methodist Church, 2655 Briargate Boulevard, Colorado Springs, 80920.

Also appearing will be the Velvet Hills Chorus, Colorado Springs’ award- winning Sweet Adeline International group. The show will be emceed by Rick Crandall, the distinguished Denver radio personality and founder of the Colorado Freedom Memorial in Aurora, Colorado.

This show promises to be a wonderful kick off to the holiday season featuring classic Christmas songs by both choruses along with a variety of quartets and capped off with a performance by the massed choruses.

Tickets may be obtained on-line now by clicking here or on the Eventbrite link in the right side bar. Children 12 and under are free, but they must have a ticket.

The America the Beautiful Chorus celebrated its 75th anniversary in July and was recognized by the Colorado Springs City Council with a proclamation designating July as “Barbershop Harmony Month.”

The chorus last produced a Christmas show in 2019. During the shutdown the chorus maintained an active schedule of singing and planning via zoom. The chorus reestablished in-person rehearsals in March and is anxious to take the stage again to demonstrate its unique blend of four-part a capella harmony.

For this show masks are not required but are optional. That may change so please revisit this site often to receive the most current information.
